The book ‘A Concise History of R.O.C. Customs Service’ is divided into 13 chapters. In addition to preface, it introduces subjects including the history of Customs of the Republic of China, the evolution of Customs organization and administration, the evolution in regional Customs, the evolution in HR system, customs duty collection, investigation, customs tariffs, customs valuation, customs statistics, marine lighthouses, clearance system automation, and customs internationalization. There is also an introduction of the successive Inspector Generals served successively and brief memoirs penned by Customs officers. It is of great value in understanding the development and improvement of our Customs.
